Kimberly DECA
Competition
Competing in DECA is a great way to learn more about marketing and business, build confidence, prepare you for interviews, and have a lot of fun! There are three competitions throughout the school year: Districts, the State Career and Development Conference (SCDC), and the International Career and Development Conference (ICDC).
Districts
January 14 2016
At Bayport High School
Districts is the first level of competition. Every competitor will compete in a series event. Districts always takes place at a local school. If you do well enough at Districts, you will advance to the state level of competition.
State
March 7-9 2017
Grand Geneva Hotel and Conference Center
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
State is the next level of competition. Every Kimberly DECA competitor at state will compete in their qualifying series event, as well as complete and present a written project. All students who place 1st through 6th in one of their events will be advancing to the international level of competition.
ICDC
April 26-29 2017
In Anaheim California
ICDC is the DECA event of the year. More than 16,000 of the best competitors will come together to compete in the final round of competition.
Mini Districts
Mini Districts is a great way to understand DECA competition! It is a small, after school event that the Leadership Team puts on for all the Kimberly DECA members.
This year Mini Districts will take place on Novemeber 11. We look forward to having a large turnout this year and we are positive we will raise your confidence for Districts in January.
If you ever have any questions about DECA or competition feel free to talk to any of the advisors or the Leadership Team. Also, keep coming to meetings because we will be discussing series, tests, and competition in our upcoming meetings.
